Salmon blossoms - Wall Art

Salmon signifies, amongst other things, a return home. Every autumn (and spring) salmon make their way up to their birthing streams, journeying thousands of miles, past all kinds of obstacles and come to the exact place it was born, despite all the years that have passed since it left home.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      How do salmon know where their home is? Studies indicate that they when they leave for the oceans, they imprint a 'map' of the earth's magnetic field at their point of exit; it is this map that helps them find their way home.Cherry blossoms rise up every spring and fall down every late spring and rise up again the next year. They also find their way home - home for them being the trees and the earth where they fall down. Despite the harshness of winter, they still manage to make their way home just like salmon.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   My goal with these illustrations is to inspire you to find your home - whatever and wherever that might be - and celebrate the innate wisdom and energy in each of us that helps us get back home: a place where we feel loved, safe and happy.
