Description
Sand verbena wildflowers in California's Anza Borrego desert state park. These wildflowers bloom in the desert usually by late February, depending in the winter rain. If we're lucky, the desert can be carpeted with beautiful wildflowers stretching for miles.
The sand verbena can grow up to 20 inches across and 3-6 inches high. It's one of the several rewards of visiting Anza Borrego state park in late winter!
