Description
A sunrise in Arches National Park is a treat: the red sandstone tends to attain an ever redder, orange-ish tint to it, making it look almost surreal.
Utah's license plates read "Life Elevated". Arches national park is indeed at several thousand feet of elevation, but it wasn't always the case. Just over 65 million years ago, this place was buried thousands of feet below. Over time, the entire region began to rise with the erosive forces carving the sandstone away.
