Ryan campground in Joshua Tree National Park. We camped there in early September, just a couple of night after there had been flash floods running through the campsite (you can see the trails of the flood in the foreground). Later that night, we had spectacular lightning occurring at the southern end of the park (this is one of the photos of that experience: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/tree-and-lightning-kunal-mehra.html). And, to top it off, later that morning we were woken up by the sound of a pack of coyotes howling in the distance. Quite a stay!
